In 2023-2024, a literacy audit K-12 was completed by Literacy Consultant Dr. Gail Lovette. As a result, a Literacy Task Force was formed in 2024-2025 to begin looking at the adoption of High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM) for curriculum adoption K-8. In 2025-2026, all four elementary schools adopted Amplify CKLA while the middle school continued their search for a curriculum program. Below are the processes of our journey to ensure that all BPS students have aligned and effective grade-level Tier I ELA instruction through the implementation of high-quality curricular materials.
