From the Nurse's Office

It is important that school is a safe and healthy environment for every individual that enters the building. We ask that you contact the school nurse and keep your child at home if he/she/they is experiencing any of the following symptoms:

• Fever (100 degrees Fahrenheit or higher), chills, or shaking chills
• Cough (not due to other known cause, such as chronic cough
• Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
• New loss of taste or smell
• Sore throat
• Headache (when in combination with other symptoms)
• Muscle aches or body aches
• Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea
• Fatigue (when in combination with other symptoms)
• New rash
• Nasal congestion or runny nose

If your child was exposed to an individual who tested positive for COVID-19 or if your child tested positive for COVID-19, keep your child home and contact the school nurse at 781-270-1792 and Burlington Board of Health at 781-270-1955.

The district has implemented the state’s Test and Stay Program. This program is for individuals who were declared to be a close contact to a positive COVID-19 case in school. Close contacts are identified and notified by the Board of Health and will be notified by the school nurse if they qualify for the Test and Stay Program. Consent forms may be printed, signed, and returned to the school nurse or completed online. Please note, the district is only participating in the Test and Stay program at this time. Symptomatic testing and pool testing is not being offered.

Accidents happen (bathroom accidents, spilled drink, splash in puddle, etc…). The Health Office does have extra clothing, but we do not always have your child’s size. We suggest packing an extra pair of clothing in your child’s backpack for this reason.
The Health Office could use some donations of underwear. We are in need of both boys and girls new underwear, size 5 - 10. Thank you!
