- Bus Schedules

Dear Fox Hill Families:
 On Monday, April 27th, we will be entering Phase 1 of construction. This will include new traffic patterns and parking changes on school property.  While this represents a shift in our routines, our top priority remains the same:  keeping all students, staff, and families safe. 
Below is a guide to help your family understand the updated traffic patterns and procedures. To help reduce congestion and enhance safety, we strongly encourage students to ride the school bus whenever possible.

🚗 Know Your Route

Buses
(Yellow Route):
Arrival:
7:55-8:10 am
Dismissal: 
2:15-2:30 pm
  • Students will be dropped off and picked up at the main entrance.
  • Buses will exit and loop around Staff Parking Lot C, then merge into the right lane of the parent/guardian loop to exit

Parent/Guardian
Vehicles (Blue Route):
Arrival: 7:55-8:10 am
Dismissal:  2:15-2:30 pm
  • Drop-off and pick-up will remain at the recess/playground doors.
  • Vehicles will follow the blue loop around the building toward the two new
    chain locations near the playground.  
  • When in the “Cone Zone”, students must exit from the driver's side only.

IMPORTANT SAFETY ALERT:  

  • Students may NOT exit the vehicle on the passenger side - * This is now a two-lane roadway  
  • Only buses and school vans may use the right lane as a travel lane  
  • Parent/Guardian Vehicles must merge to the right lane to exit after dropping off.  


School Vans
(Pink Route):
Arrival:  7:50-8:00 am
Dismissal:  1:55-2:05 pm
  • Morning drop-off will take place in Lot E.  
  • Vans will follow the same loop as parent/guardian vehicles after drop-off.  
  • At the rear of the building, vans will use the second lane to merge into the yellow bus route (travel lane).
  • At dismissal, vans will line up in the bus drop-off area, then follow the loop around Lot C and exit. 


Staff (Red  Route):
  • Staff will use the center lane in front of the building (staff only).
  • Parking is located in Lot C, with two-way traffic patterns in place within the lot. Please note that the loop is one-way.

★ Critical Intersection (Key Safety Zone)
The most important area for all drivers is the northeast corner of the property (marked by the ★ red star), where all routes intersect. 

  • Follow all directional arrows, road markings, and posted signs when entering and exiting.  
  • Staff will be on duty to assist with traffic flow and safety.

🅿️ Parking Information

  • Lot B: Accessible and limited visitor parking (near main entrance)
  • Lots C, D, and E: Staff parking only
  • No Parking in the Bus Lane during arrival and dismissal:  (7:45-8:15 am AND 1:45-2:30 pm)

Where do I park when… Please use Lot B (8:15 am - 1:45 pm) for:

  • Late arrivals or early dismissals
  • Dropping off items in the main office
  • Meetings with teachers
  • Volunteering

Parking for events and extended volunteer time (ie - field trip chaperones) will be shared with each event, as plans may vary due to construction.🚌 School Bus Safety (Required by Law)

  • All vehicles must stop when a bus has flashing red lights and the stop-arm is extended.
  • This applies to all traffic lanes on the property.
  • Do not proceed until the lights stop flashing and the stop-arm is fully retracted.

🛝Playground Safety (New Chain Locations)

  • Two chains are installed near the playground and hardtop areas.
  • These help keep students safely away from traffic zones.
  • Please use extra caution near all play areas.

🚸 Walkers & Bike Riders

  • Students will continue to use the main entrance.
  • At dismissal, there is no parking available for walker pick-up.
  • Students must walk / bike home or be picked up using the blue vehicle route.

Before & After School Program

Before School Program:
Parents should arrive before 7:45 AM, park in Lot B, and walk their child to the front door. A before-school teacher
will be there to meet them.

If you arrive after 7:45 AM, please be aware that the parking lot becomes extremely congested, with traffic flowing
in multiple directions for both staff and parent drop-off. At that time, you may be required to join the regular parent
drop-off line.

After School Program:
Parents arriving before 3:00 PM, when buses may still be in the parking lots, should park in Lot B and walk to the
front door, where after-school staff will meet you.
If you arrive after 3:00 PM, you may pull up in front of the school as usual for pick-up.

✏️ Change of Dismissal: If your child has a change in dismissal plans, please send in a written note to the classroom teacher.Working Together for Safety

We know these changes require adjustment, and we truly appreciate your patience and cooperation. By following these procedures, you are helping ensure that Fox Hill remains a safe and supportive environment for all students during construction.  Student safety is our shared responsibility.
