Congratulations to Marshall Simonds Middle School 8th Grade Math Teacher Cheryl Mantia who was nominated for the LifeChanger of the Year Award due to her efforts with the Teen LIGHT community service project at MSMS.
LifeChanger of the Year is a national award to acknowledge teachers, administrators, and staff in K-12 schools. Teen LIGHT is the community service project at MSMS that has raised approximately $120,000 over the last ten years to support teens with issues including depression, cancer, autism, anxiety, abuse, and poverty. Children who have benefited from the proceeds of the project include two local Burlington children who had been diagnosed with cancer.
