The Burlington Board of Health will conduct a Household Hazardous Waste
Collection Day on Saturday, April 13, 2019 from 8:30 am to 12 pm at Francis
Wyman Elementary School, 41 Terrace Hall Avenue. This collection event is
for Burlington Residents only and provides an opportunity for proper disposal
of household quantities of hazardous materials. Proof of residency will be
Oils, gasoline, pesticides, pool chemicals, propane tanks, car batteries, and
mercury containing materials will be accepted for proper recycling or disposal.
Do not bring latex paint; it can be dried and put into the trash. All
materials should be transported in sturdy containers. Medical sharps and
expired/unwanted medications will not be accepted; however, sharps kiosks
are available at the Fire and Police Departments. A medication kiosk is
available at the Police Department.
Brochures will not be mailed to residents.
